Surgical
Specialists is a practice of six highly skilled
surgeons and clinical staff dedicated to the highest
level of surgical care for our patients. All of
our surgeons are Board Certified Diplomates by
the American Board of Surgery and serve as faculty
members for Florida Hospital’s General Surgery
Residency Program. As teachers, our surgeons are
involved in research and publication, and they
keep current with the latest and best surgical
techniques. We use a laparoscopic (minimally invasive)
approach to many procedures and keep Electronic
Medical Records (EMR) for access to our patients’
records at all times.
We
also follow the Florida Hospital approach to patient
care. Our physicians and staff practice a whole-person-care
approach with our patients – considering
their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
As part of the Florida Hospital family, Surgical
Specialists has access to hospital services to
care for patients pre and post surgery.

Each patient is assured compassionate and expert
care from the staff of the largest not-for-profit
hospital in Florida.
Florida
Hospital is a Christian hospital with the mission
to extend the healing ministry of Christ to all
patients who come to us. We endeavor to deliver
high-quality service, showing concern for patients'
emotional and spiritual needs, as well as their
physical condition. It is our desire to serve
patients promptly, with consideration and dignity.
Florida
Hospital’s General Surgery Residency
All six Surgical Specialists surgeons are faculty
physicians of the General Surgery Residency of
the Department of Medical Education of Florida
Hospital. This program is dedicated to providing
the best possible surgical education in the most
pleasant environment. Our goal is to produce surgeons
with excellent technical skills, a broad surgical
experience and documented excellence in all the
ACGME competencies. Our vision is to develop surgeons
oriented toward care of the whole person, who
might consider staying in the Central Florida
community. Physicians in the program will have
exposure to all major minimally invasive surgical
techniques and will have the opportunity to spend
additional time in areas of special interest to
them, including on-going research activities.
